2:33 am, 2 nights after full moon : My room was lit by the silvery moon with 3 windows of my room wide open to let the 'still' breeze in. After a brief reading of
N. G. Mankiw's '
Principle of Macroeconomics', I moved onto seeing a Telugu film (with subtitles of cours

e). The film was nearing an end and suddenly I heard 4 knocks, sound heard when somebody knocks onto the wood. The first thought that came to my mind was '"Did a ghost just knock on my window?". For a brief moment I got entangled in a state of indecisiveness and then my curiousity of seeing a ghost took me over. Looking through my window saw nothing else but stillness of the night against a flickering tube competing with the moon.
The marginal benefit of seeing a ghost would indeed be greater than the marginal cost involved in going sleepless through more than half the night.
yes.. they exist in your mind as well as in your mirror..

:P What made you think that you could see a ghost? For all you know, the ghost would have been giggling at you when you tried to look for it at your window and got disappointed :)

ReplyDeleteThen I would have seen it :P
@hari
As we haven't had any real horrifying experiences, can it be said to better or worse? ;)
Nice ghostbuster post! The best part is the 'economics-sytled definition' All your 'quest' posts shows that you really worked hard and devoted a lot of time before getting em published. I wish I could write like nice, prepared posts. (nice ghost! pic) .. cu soon.
